Green Key
The NEYA Porto Hotel was recognized with this award in 2021. The Green Key is an international distinction that promotes Sustainable Tourism in Portugal by recognizing tourist establishments, local accommodations, campsites, and restaurants that implement good environmental and social practices, enhance environmental management in their establishments, and promote Environmental Education for Sustainability.
Establishments awarded this certification must meet specific requirements, such as having an environmental management system aimed at reducing energy and water consumption, proper waste separation, using environmentally friendly cleaning products, and prioritizing organic and locally sourced products. The Green Key is a seal of trust, indicating to consumers that by choosing one of these establishments, they are helping the planet.

Integrated Management Systems Certification
The NEYA Lisboa Hotel has held Integrated Management Systems Certifications in accordance with the Quality (ISO 9001), Environment (ISO 14001), and Occupational Health and Safety (ISO 45001) standards since 2015. It is one of the few hotels to have achieved all three certifications.
These certifications were granted by SGS, the world’s leading company in inspection, verification, testing, and certification services. Recognized both nationally and internationally, they serve as a distinguishing factor, showcasing the hotel’s commitment to quality, safety, and environmental concerns.

Carbono Zero
The Carbono Zero certification has been awarded to the NEYA Lisboa Hotel by Sociedade Ponto Verde since 2017 for being a carbon-neutral hotel. This distinction highlights its contribution to mitigating global warming and climate change on the planet.
Five-leaf System
The NEYA Lisboa Hotel has been internationally recognized by the Five-Leaf System since 2012, achieving the highest rating and joining the list of hotels that prioritize “eco-performance” and uphold environmental values.
The Five-Leaf System allows guests to assess the environmental quality of the hotel they stay in, while also enabling hotels to clarify their ecological policies.

The NEYA Lisboa Hotel has been awarded the Green Leaders – Platinum certification by TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site. This distinction, granted to the hotel since 2014, highlights establishments with environmentally sustainable practices and helps travelers plan greener trips by identifying eco-friendly accommodations.
Portugal Bike Friendly
The NEYA Lisboa Hotel has been awarded the “Portugal Bike Friendly” certification by the Portuguese Federation of Cycle Tourism and Bicycle Users. This certification attests to the hotel providing suitable conditions for accommodating cyclists and their bicycles.

The NEYA Lisboa Hotel has joined the “Portugal Sou Eu” program, which aims to promote sustainability and economic growth by valuing national food products and involving all sectors of civil society.
The NEYA Lisboa Hotel aligns itself with these goals and values, prioritizing, whenever possible, the consumption of food and non-food goods that are locally sourced and of national origin.

We Care and We Share
The NEYA Lisboa Hotel has been awarded the Corporate Social Responsibility Seal – We Share – and the Environmental Sustainability Seal – We Care – by the Portuguese Hospitality Association (AHP) through its Corporate Program for Social Responsibility and Environmental Sustainability, HOSPES.
These seals aim to promote the social and circular economy by recognizing hotels committed to best environmental and social practices. They highlight values of sharing and mutual support, based on sustainable and responsible growth, which aligns with NEYA Hotels’ principles.
The NEYA Lisboa Hotel has held these seals since 2016 and has renewed them every year.
