Green Projects Award
The NEYA Lisboa Hotel was the winner of the 10th edition of the Green Project Awards Portugal in the Tourism category. The hotel competed with its tripartite sustainability concept and proved to be the project that contributed the most to the sustainable development of tourism in Portugal in 2017.
The Green Project Awards Portugal is a nationally recognized initiative by the Portuguese Environment Agency, GCI, and Quercus ANCN. It highlights best practices in projects that promote sustainable development, engaging businesses and society.
Publituris Portugal Trade Awards
The NEYA Lisboa Hotel won the Publituris Portugal Trade Awards 2018 in the “Best Green Hotel” category. These prestigious awards celebrate excellence in the hospitality industry in Portugal. The NEYA Lisboa Hotel was recognized for its remarkable efforts in environmental sustainability.
Corrente pela Água
The NEYA Lisboa Hotel received the “Corrente pela Água” Good Practices Seal from EPAL, the company responsible for water supply in Lisbon, in the HORECA category. This seal recognizes entities that excel in promoting water efficiency and awareness within the Lisbon community.
Galp Pro Energy
The NEYA Lisboa Hotel was awarded the Galp Pro Energy Seal in 2015 for its outstanding energy efficiency practices. This recognition is promoted by Galp in collaboration with its partners: RNAE – Associação das Agências de Energia e Ambiente (Rede Nacional), ISQ – Instituto de Soldadura e Qualidade, and Sair da Casca.
The seal honors companies with implemented energy efficiency action plans, which include measures such as forming an energy management team, conducting employee awareness initiatives, and replacing outdated equipment.
Energy Globe Award
The NEYA Lisboa Hotel was the winner of the prestigious Energy Globe Award in 2020, which honors companies that have implemented impactful energy efficiency measures, contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions.
“We are immensely proud to be the only hotel in Portugal with the internationally recognized Energy Globe certification in the field of sustainability. This recognition reflects the daily work we do to ensure that the tourism industry leads the fight against climate change and adopts measures to make this sector increasingly sustainable,” proudly stated Pedro Teixeira, the hotel’s Quality, Environment, and Safety Manager.
Boa Cama Boa Mesa
The NEYA Lisboa Hotel was recognized at the Boa Cama Boa Mesa awards in 2016 in the Environmental Sustainability category. This distinction honored the hotel for its exemplary sustainability practices in the hospitality industry.
National Bicycle Mobility Award
The NEYA Lisboa Hotel was awarded the “National Bicycle Mobility Award” by the Portuguese Federation of Cyclotourism and Bicycle Users in 2018. This award recognizes entities that have contributed to improving bicycle usage conditions and actively promoted their use.
Travel & Hospitality Award
The NEYA Lisboa Hotel was awarded the title of “Hotel of the Year for Lisboa – Portugal” in 2021 by the Travel & Hospitality Awards. This prestigious award honors entities or individuals who have excelled in hard work, achievements, customer satisfaction, and quality over the past 12 months in the hospitality sector.

European Enterprise Promotion Awards - Finalist
The NEYA Lisboa Hotel was a finalist in the 2018 European Enterprise Promotion Awards in the categories of “Responsible and Inclusive Entrepreneurship” and “Supporting the Development of Green Markets and Resource Efficiency.”
This initiative by the European Commission recognizes projects that promote responsible entrepreneurship. The NEYA Lisboa Hotel stood out with its sustainability concept and its “Solidarity Room” initiative.
